GST™ (Grace Somatomorphic Technique)

Anna Rahe has been teaching dance, Pilates and movement therapies since 1997. Anna graduated from the internationally renowned Pilates Teacher Training Certification Program at The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado. She spent the following seven years studying intensively with Pilates master teacher Ron Fletcher.

Through her years of studying myriad somatic techniques: Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, Gyrotonics, Yoga, Laban, Rosen Method and Applied Kinesiology, in search of healing from evasive body ailments, Anna discovered specific body techniques that radically transform the shape and movement of the body.  This technique is called GST.  She is currently authoring a book on GST.  The book will be ready for publication in late 2007.

There are 5 GST techniques that pertain to the five movement systems of the body: breath, spine, muscles, bones and fascia (connective tissue).  By learning these techniques and applying them to your body movements, one can radically change the body.

GST has a unique lexicon that facilitates precise explanation and execution of the techniques for rapid progress and transformation. When studied and practiced GST radically transforms the body’s structure.  GST accelerates physical aptitude for athletic, artistic and rehabilitative aspirations.

****All sessions teach the basic 5 GST techniques and include specific exercises designed according to your specific needs.  These exercises will also help (you) integrate the GST technique into your body.  All sessions include body work with selected emphasis on either, smoothing out muscular imbalances that produce bulky muscle shapes, increase body awareness and flexibility for athletics or release pain and tension around an injury.  All exercises learned on the equipment will be translated for at home in life practice that will accelerate your progress.
